Evelith Regent is taken to defy his penalty in the finale and he gets the vote over First Boy and Trireme. Alan Swinbank has a good record in bumpers and Evelith Regent looks a good bet even though he only won by a head last time when getting the better of Murphys Beau. The gelding Imperial Ballet is bred to be suited by this faster surface and he can improve to score again. First Boy ran well on his debut but he has since disappointed and he looks to have a bit to prove after that most recent tame effort. Trireme was a fair fourth on his debut behind Spanish Cruise, but he was doing all his best work at the finish so this extra yardage should suit. Cape Tribulation is a well-bred type and is one to note in the market, but we will stick with Evelith Regent who should be tough to beat.
