In depth

Verdict

Lanmire Tower has obvious claims and can see off the challenge of King's Bounty, with Tacolino and Log On Intersky best of the rest. Lanmire Tower showed that there is still life in the old dog yet with a convincing all-the-way victory at Lingfield three weeks ago, gained despite the heavy conditions. The going is a bit better than that today, and this dual course winner looks capable of obliging again off his current mark. The booking of useful conditional William Kennedy is a bonus, and Steve Gollings's charge is the one to beat. King's Bounty has not threatened too much of late and Tim Easterby has yet to really get going with his jumpers, while Tacolino would have claims on his old form but is readily opposed. That leaves Log On Intersky as a potential threat, but he will do well to give so much weight away to the selection, Lanmire Tower.
