Verdict
Forgot To Ask hasn’t been quite at his best in a couple of runs since returning from a break but this represents a drop in class while September’s Market Rasen winner One True King contested the Grand Sefton at Aintree on his next start, though isn’t proven over a trip this far. Volcano is a thorough stayer and Ben Jones will be out to make the most of his stamina in this. He is getting 13lb from Worcester winner Sam Barton, who also likes to race up with the pace, but they could set the race up for LASKALIN, whose run behind Le Milos at Lingfield last season has been well advertised. The others have a bit to prove at present.
