Dance With Wolves gets a tentative vote over Desert Spa, with Ambersong and Lucky Do just two more with claims in a wide-open contest. This is a hard one for punters to work out, but at least Dance With Wolves has recent winning form to his name and that could sway things his way. John Best's charge opened his account at Plumpton a fortnight ago, the addition of cheekpieces serving to rekindle his enthusiasm as he won a classified contest narrowly from Amnesty. That was a marginally better affair than this, and as long as he handles the fast ground today, he should go close. Desert Spa raced a bit too keenly when fourth at Hereford last time, but the 11-year-old has plenty of experience and could make his presence felt, while Ambersong disappointed here last time but has won over the course-and-distance in the past. Lucky Do was pulled up at Newbury in March but had a bit of a purple patch earlier and is not out of it. All in all, this is a head-scratcher of a race, but a small vote goes to Dance With Wolves.
