Maljimar, Millcroft Seascape, and State of Play are three against the field in the bumper where as usual the market will be all important but the selection goes to the newcomer Maljimar. The four year old is a gelding by Un Desperado the same sire as Best Mate, he represents the same connections. He is sure to know his job and he is taken to score in what looks a mediocre bumper. Millcroft Seascape rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind The Sawyer but he gave the impression he would be suited by further and for that reason he is opposed. State Of Play is also worthy of respect he finished in mid division in a grade 2 bumper on his debut behind Secret Ploy and he is sure to have learnt from the experience and his stable has a 15 percent strike rate in recent years in this sphere so he will not be far away. Of the remainder Cutthroat is a gelding by Kris and is a half brother to Membhers Only who has been placed in a bumper and a novice hurdle. The booking of Mick FitzGerald catches the eye and he is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Maljimar.
