In depth

Verdict

James King is a talented amateur who has already ridden 17 winners under Rules this season. He gets the leg up on GREYED A (NAP), who beat a subsequent winner on soft going at Lingfield before his third at Chepstow and is generally on an upward curve. Gulshanigans has hinted at ability but looks too high in the weights at present. Viking Mistress is a nine-year-old maiden but she did run her best race so far last time at Market Rasen while Philip Hobbs tries the lightly-raced Shambougg in blinkers. Champagne Chaser has a bit to prove at present but Debt To Society is starting to come down the weights again and wins his fair share.
