Classic Chance produced a brave effort to score between the flags at Chipley Park last month and it would be no surprise to see him carry that improvement over to regulation fences. The once-useful Battlecry showed some ability was still there when third in a hunter chase at Leicester last week and he should give Willie Twiston-Davies another good ride if his confidence has been restored, but more interesting is TAKEROC. Now with Richard Barber, the eight-year-old had some excellent form under Rules for Paul Nicholls including a third to Master Minded in the 2008 Tingle Creek Chase. Though disappointing on his points debut in December, that run was probably needed and he may well prove a class above these.
