SHANNERSBURG makes more appeal than Karashar and is consequently selected with Joshua deemed of most interest of the remainder. Karashar hails from a yard that does well here and appears to have resolved the jumping issues that plagued his first two starts. He ran well below the level of his first three starts on his latest appearance though and we'll give him a swerve for that reason. Joshua also ran below expectations last time having previously finished a fair third at Market Rasen in a contest that probably has similar strength in depth to this one. The selection was around 10 lengths adrift of the Cantillon runner but he can be given some leeway as it was his debut. He was ridden patiently and failed to get competitive but he jumped well enough in the main and it's worth giving Shannersburg another chance in the hope that he's ridden more positively. (Ian Ogg)
