Alvino was a comfortable winner over course and distance last month when having Young Tot well behind and he is taken to confirm that form and gets the vote to follow up, with the main threats rated as Ede'iff and Cobbet. The last mentioned had some useful form under rules a couple of seasons ago and would have claims if able to reproduce that but his recent point-to-point form is not encouraging. Sporting Hero made a winning return in a point just 10 days ago and could be of interest provided that this run does not come too soon. Touch Of Flame ran well enough when last in this grade but has disappointed in recent starts in point-to-points and of more interest may be Ede'iff. Bill Turner's mare has shown a consistent level of form of late and she has to be considered but it is hard to get away from Alvino, who gets the verdict.
