An interesting maiden hurdle can go to Commercial Flyer, who is given the vote of confidence over Easter Present, Crossbow Creek and Caora Bridge, who are all improving sorts that arrive here with fair claims today. However, so too does the selection after a couple of promising efforts in defeat that are working out well to date. Commercial Flyer travelled smoothly until a blunder late-on spoilt his chance on his debut at Chepstow just after Christmas but, considering that race produced the likes of subsequent winners, Meggies Gamble and Semi Precious, the form looks to be the most reliable on offer. An improved performance at Exeter saw the selection just touched off in a desperate finish after trying to make most of the running. More patient tactics are likely to be employed with Commercial Flyer today - which should be enough to see him hold enough back to repel the challenges of Easter Present and the rest at the finish.
