    Verdict

Winning pointer Time For A Pint was beaten a long way on his debut under Rules but What A Steal, placed twice in bumpers, showed promise in his first run over hurdles at Hereford. EGBERT sets a decent standard on runs at Warwick and Newbury and this further step up in trip promises to suit so he might be a bit of value against likely short-priced favourite Impose Toi, 2-2 in bumpers in France and a half-brother to a hurdle and chase winner. Tzarmix was very green at Hereford in the autumn and may need more time.
