Verdict

Church Field has won two of his last three but is only a plater and likely to find a few of these too good. Arctic Gold steps up another grade but must have every chance of completing the hat-trick as he's very lightly raced. L'aigle Royal is only a couple of pounds higher than when second at Wetherby in October and was highly tried last season. But this is a new trip and his stamina will be tested on the forecast going. MONETARY FUND hasn't won over hurdles in three years but is now 12lb lower and showed he was no back number with a recent third at Kempton. As he stays well, he could take advantage of a low weight today.
