Verdict

The heavy ground could have accounted for Midnight King's poor effort at Plumpton last month and he is arguably the pick of those with previous experience on his debut third at Towcester last year. Rowlestone Lad wasn't disgraced when fourth at Chepstow but a couple of newcomers look more interesting today. Set In Her Ways is by Old Vic and a half-sister to a winning hurdler but preference is for LITTLE FRITZ, whose dam won on the Flat, over hurdles and fences and was a full sister to smart stayer Life Is Life. Barry Geraghty takes the ride and she looks the one to beat.
