In depth
Verdict
ELLENS WAY is penalised 7lb for a very easy victory over 2m5f at Fontwell where she drew well clear from 2 out. This trip won't be a problem and, though she is stepping up a grade, she looks the one to be on. Sainte Ladylime completed a hat-trick of novice hurdle victories in March 2016 but has had major problems with her jumping over fences subsequently. She could score here with a clear round but may just need this as a confidence-booster. Fille Des Champs has only won once over timber but that was on heavy ground and she stays this trip. She'll be much better for her recent run at Chepstow and looks a threat. Tambura hasn't won for over a year but is 4lb lower and running into a bit of form so she looks best of the remainder.
