Verdict
Gordon Elliott looks to have the answer to this. Longclaw was carrying a penalty for a convincing debut success at Roscommon when completing a double in an eventful race at Down Royal where only three finished. He would probably have won anyway, though the concession of 4lb to stable companion DUFFLE COAT may prove beyond him. A half-brother to a couple of winners, he made a belated racecourse debut at Punchestown earlier this month and was very impressive. Scholastic was beaten 13 lengths into third and is unlikely to turn the tables while Little Brother was beaten 35 lengths behind Longclaw at Roscommon before scoring at Ballinrobe.
