Willie Mullins' PIQUE SOUS, a high-class bumper, was surprisingly beaten by Ted Dolly on his hurdling debut at Cork when starting at odds of 1/3. Hopefully that will have taught him a few lessons, however, and he should take all the beating in this before going on to better things. Birzali was a winner on the Flat in France but has found consistency hard to come by since his attentions were switched to hurdles and he's just starting to look exposed while bumper winners Mumbo Jumbo and Our Vinnie may just need today's experience and neither have seen action recently. Ted Veale was third at Galway last month, however, and won on the Flat at Sligo four weeks ago so should make his presence felt.
