It will be interesting to see if there is any money for June's Cork winner Edith Cowan on her handicap debut. Loreto wasn't beaten far at Killarney earlier this month and shouldn't be far away while Gra Geal Mo Chroi was third on her latest start at Tipperary but had earlier finished behind Cheval Rouge over 1m2f at Roscommon. Patrick Flynn's string is back in form and last year's winner MAMMA ROSA is 3lb lower this time around. It would be no surprise to see here reverse recent form with Cheval Rouge, Gra Geal Mo Chroi and Loreto with conditions in her favour again. Noel Quinlan's Ariyfa is a significant raider and makes more appeal than Balrath Hope and Antiquus of the others.
