Verdict

ASK SUSAN can provide Willie Mullins with a quick treble on her return to fences. Runner-up in a lucrative handicap hurdle over timber at Galway, she'd earlier been placed in much better company than this over the bigger obstacles and looks on a very fair mark. Her stable companion Cabaret Queen will be having her first start for the yard since joining from Dan Skelton and starts off on what could prove a lenient mark. Deans Road followed a battling victory at Tipperary with a moderate run in a Grade B handicap at Killarney and needs to bounce back but The Big Lense makes his handicap debut over fences and has shown enough ability over timber to merit respect. The latter's stable companion, Mrs Lovett, was still in the lead but being strongly challenged when falling at the last at Kilbeggan and could be the one to shake up the selection with a clear round.
