Verdict

Unless one of the newcomers is smart, this should go to LEXINGTON REBEL despite a penalty for his Chepstow victory, as he wasn't beaten far in a Kempton Group 3 before bumping into a useful winner at Chelmsford. Aidan O'Brien's King Of Athens hasn't made the expected progress though has competed at a slightly higher level and looks the only threat from those with experience. Convertible, a half-brother to two winners at this trip, can prove best of the first-timers.
