An interesting contest with some lightly raced and progressive performers in opposition including Thurlestone Rock. Brian Meehan's charge was an impressive six-length winner of a minor event at Wolverhampton last week and, with further improvement to come, should give another good account. However, the son of Sheikh Albadou appeared to appreciate the opportunity to race over 6f and the return to the minimum trip is not to his advantage. Tender and Dusty Dazzler are both course and distance winners who should be respected but the one they all have to beat is Viera. The TEAMtalk selection made a winning debut over 6f at Newmarket and showed he is progressing along the right lines when runner-up over the same trip behind a useful yardstick here earlier in the month. This likeable sort showed plenty of pace to lead at the distance on the latter occasion so the drop in trip shouldn't be a problem and the Michael Jarvis-trained colt is taken to lift the most valuable race on the card.
