In depth

Verdict

FIERY BREATH gets an unexpected chance of a quick double at this new fixture after winning at Southwell on Wednesday. He's won around here and a 5lb penalty looks manageable. Something Lucky is on a very long losing run but has eight all-weather victories to his credit and was only beaten a head at Chelmsford early this month. Luis Vaz De Torres has a fine strike-rate of 9-53 and is extremely consistent. His last success came from just 2lb lower at Beverley so he should get into contention. Sandridge Lad last won at Southwell in March but was only beaten a neck in a better race than this at Chelmsford last time so has to be considered.
