Final Drive put in a good performance to win at Kempton on Sunday and, while he looked to have a little in hand, he might find it tougher in this better grade so we will side with NORMAN ORPEN. There was plenty to like about the selection's Kempton win over this trip last time out, for which he has gone up 7lb. His claimer will help a little to offset that but if he can maintain that sort of form he should go very close. Jamie Spencer rode him to that success but switches to Syrian today. However, he returns to this sphere from a claimer and will have to improve on recent handicap runs to follow-up. Young Dottie is 7lb higher than a course and distance win last time out and is not discounted, but will perhaps need a career-best to go in again, while Halsion Chancer, another course and distance victor last time, has not won from a mark this high since February 2008, so he will do well to get back to that sort of form.
