The shortlist contains Stoneacre Boy, The London Gang and Miss Dagger, with the vote going to The London Gang. The selection is now seven pounds better off for the three-and-a-half lengths that he finished behind Stoneacre Boy over course and distance last time but, having missed the break there and then staying on for a never-nearer finish, the tables could be turned today, particularly as The London Gang races in first-time cheekpieces. We have to mention also that Peter Island is three pounds better off for a short head with the selection based on that same race. Miss Dagger gets a good mention as she is quite highly regarded by her trainer, although she blotted her copybook last time by refusing to race. Overall, though, we will stick with The London Gang.
