Verdict

Parachute is in fine fettle at the moment, having taken his maiden easily at Southwell, before following up in handicap company at Wolverhampton last time. Since he has been stepped up to this trip he has really come into his own and despite a 6lb penalty he looks good enough to complete the hat-trick here. Sudden Flight could give him a bit to think about. He has been very consistent on the fibresand this winter, but has never won here before in nine attempts and with that in mind he is passed over on this occasion. In contrast Joely Green goes well here but is a victim of his own consistency at the moment and looks to be in the grip of the handicapper, though should certainly be good enough to be in the shake-up. Siena Star is interesting stepped up to a mile and a half for the first time. Breeding suggests that the five-year-old should get home and if so this useful individual could be the fly in the ointment.
