Another large field goes to post for this maiden but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Mad Mick Messon, Strike Lucky and Wood Fern and we will side with the last named. The colt from the Mick Channon yard would be hard to beat on his third behind Maxilla and although he was disappointing last time out that was over 12 furlongs and the drop in trip is sure to suit. Mad Nick Messon could also go well he was a fair fourth behind Gun Salute last time and is sure to be suited by the step up in trip. Strike Lucky would have a chance on his two runs on turf but it hard to know if he will act on this surface if he does he will not be far away. Of the remainder Cayman Sunrise has the ability to win but does not always put her best foot forward so in a poor contest we will side with Wood Fern
