Verdict

Appier had looked high enough in the weights having landed a hat-trick earlier in the year but popped-up again at Newcastle last time. Genesius disappointed at Epsom having placed before that while Canterbury Bell has won twice over shorter distances this season and steps up in trip along with SONNERIE POWER. The latter should have benefitted from being gelded having failed to settle at Chelmsford last time and Roger Varian’s charge may also improve now handicapping.
