Fairly moderate stuff on view for this handicap. Marjurita comes here in good heart from the Littmoden team but his stamina is yet to be proved beyond seven furlongs and it may pay to look elsewhere. Sir Mark Prescott's team are always respected and the well-bred Provender comes here having slipped down the handicap. A recent performance behind the consistent, Red to Violet in a classified race would give her a squeak and the stable are enjoying something of a purple patch at the moment. The Teamtalk nod goes to Ian Balding's Voice Mail. The gelding is the model of consistency over a variety of trips and although he is under a penalty for a recent win at Lingfield, he was probably better value than the winning margin suggests. Mayville's Magic is the interesting contender. She has been running over five furlongs of late but she was thought good enough to be running in the Swinley Stakes at Ascot earlier in the year. Gerald Butler saddles plenty of winners here and the market must be watched.
