Ashwell Lad is on the upgrade and gets the nod over Ashby Jo and Azione, while Nomore is worth noting for signs of each-way support as she displayed ability in bumpers before making a modest start over hurdles earlier in the month. The last named will be a bit wiser this time around and the daughter of Presenting looks a lively outsider in this company. Azione also showed plenty of zest in a handful of bumpers and can pay her way before too long. She does need to be learn to settle in her races though and may be best watched for the time being. Ashby Jo - a winner on heavy ground at Uttoxeter during the summer - will be an obvious threat if she takes to jumping and should be closely monitored in the betting market. However, Ashwell Lad has the vital edge in terms of hurdling experience and, as the form of his latest start may prove to be a reliable yardstick, the Richard Phillips-trained gelding gets a confident vote today.
