Verdict
Something of an oddity with eight runners from Peter Grayson's stable set to take their chances and we take Allium to see off Stoneacre Chris and Capriccioso. Barry Hills' charge may have run up against an above average sort at Southwell last week but the fact that Michael Hills was there and is here, tells us that this horse must be better than average. Stoneacre Chris finished behind Stoneacre Pat when the trainer sent out six runners at Lingfield Park at the top of the month. She could have won had inexperience not got the better of her. Stoneacre Ma wasnt particularly fancied on that day but looks a little further up the pecking order today on jockey bookings. Capriccioso will again be in opposition. She looks ordinary but her yard are sending out plenty of winners. Rightcar Dominic is related to a number of winning sprinters and would be of interest if the market speaks in his favour. A race that is a statistical oddity in many ways but one where Barry Hills' Allium can spoil the party.
