Adantino makes plenty of appeal now that Allan Munro is back in the plate, with Rezzago, Effective and Roman Quintet others to keep an eye on in the betting market. Roman Quintet is a versatile individual that has already won three times at Lingfield. He has gone well at this time of year in the past and should not be underestimated despite coming here on the back of a 216-day absence. He will benefit from the run whatever happens and is one to keep on the right side in the coming weeks. Effective held on well to defeat the selection here three weeks ago and has an obvious chance of going close once more. Andrew Elliot's 7lb more than compensates for his rise in the weights and another bold bid can be expected from this game front-runner. Rezzago put in a solid effort over course and distance earlier in the month and is sure to be popular with the champion jockey, Jamie Spencer, once more booked for the ride. This lightly raced gelding can pay his way before too long and he looks the most logical choice to have as a saver. Nevertheless, Adantino is a more sporting option in a race that may well unfold to suit his style of running. Alan Munro knows him well and it will come as no surprise to see him make more use of the son of Glory Dancer.
