LORD OF THE LAND finally returned to winning ways when landing a conditions race over 6f at Kempton last time. David O’Meara’s charge may be good enough to go in again over this longer trip with doubts also surrounding the other main protagonists. A Guineas fancy at the start of last season, Faydhan hasn’t raced since third in a handicap in April last year while Wolverhampton winner Peril has his first start since May and Race Day was last seen at the track in July. The latter was beaten by Sea of Flames in an All-Weather Championships race here earlier this year while Intransigent has not won since 2014 and Oh This Is Us needs to find a bit more off his current mark.
