MEDAL OF VALOUR was an easy winner of his maiden over a mile at Pontefract earlier this month. He has plenty of scope for improvement on his handicap debut and gets the vote ahead of the more exposed types. Haydock winner Gala Casino Star has claims on his best form but has yet to score on the all-weather, while Green Wadi was winning for only the second time when successful at Kempton recently and is back up in the weights. Barwick and Heatherbird have been running well without winning and the same comment applies to Birdolini, although the latter may do better over today's longer trip.
