    Verdict

Subversive made a winning reappearance at Wolverhampton last week and carries 6lb extra for his trouble. But AUTUMN TONIC is less exposed and may well improve past the former given Simon Dow's charge won a maiden contest at Chelmsford in good style earlier in the month. That looks stronger form than Hills And Dales' maiden victory over track and trip when Culloden was beaten a length in fourth and the latter re-opposes on better terms today. The remaining pair are harder to fancy.
