In depth

Verdict

Mark Johnston does well in maidens at the track and it is likely that he has one good enough here in Yamal, while Spin Again is respected and another newcomer in Elzain may go well. Yamal is unlikely to struggle for fitness first time out and is bred to get better over a mile plus in time, but this will do for starters and with the yard enjoying a tremendous start then he is taken to score. Spin Again has a run last season when going well over 7f on soft at Goodwood. His pedigree suggests that he should have the speed to cope with this drop in trip and he is interesting. Elzain is bred to show plenty of speed at sprint trips and she is another who is likely to be able to do herself justice first time. Market support would be encouraging and she can go well. Interactive is best of the remainder, but has had plenty of chances and it is likely that he will find a couple too good and one of them can be the selection, Yamal.
