A typically competitive sprint with several proven performers around here taking part. Justalord is a pacey animal and is ideally drawn to make the most of his trailblazing tactics. He will take some pegging back. Roses Of Spring has had a wonderful winter and has blossomed into a more than useful sprinter. However, the Handicapper looks to have her measure for the time being. James Stark gets the vote. He will be well suited to the likely strong pace and comes into this on the back of an excellent effort at Doncaster, where he didn't have the best of draws. The frustrating Compton Banker returns to sprinting having failed over further and with him dropping in the weights it would come as no surprise to see him involved in the finish, for just like James Stark, he will be suited by the strong pace. Others to consider include course winner Palawan and Byo, who has several bits of form with most of these that put him in with a shout.
