        Verdict

        Sea Of Calm gets a tentative vote ahead of Lady Georgette, Valart and Emily's Place in an open contest. In truth nothing stands out too much here, but there was encouragement to be taken from the performance of Sea Of Calm at Wolverhampton 11-days ago when, although she was a beaten favourite, did at least prove that she has the required stamina to open her account over this trip. The race in which she was third was distinctly moderate, but so is this, and Ed Dunlop's filly is saddled with the vote. Lady Georgette was second to Hurry Up Helen at Brighton in September and is still a maiden after 11 starts, but also looks weighted well enough to make her presence felt as well. Valart in contrast has topweight to overcome here on the back of a one or two fair efforts so far, and has it to do, while dual Turf winner Emily's Place has first-time cheekpieces as she bids to open her all-weather account. They appear to be the leading fancies, with Sea Of Calm our idea of the winner.
