An ordinary race can go to Aspen Falls, whose yard struck with a similar type yesterday, while Jimmy The Guesser and Pure Fiction also represent in-form trainers and are not without a chance in this company. Pure Fiction showed a tendency to pull hard in his races last term but also showed signs of ability. Another year on his back will have done him no harm and he may be more like the finished article these days. The betting market will give a few clues in that direction. Jimmy The Guesser is better than his last two outings would suggest and rates as a good value option for each-way punters to consider. All his best efforts have come on an artificial surface, so it will not be surprising to see him go close. However, Aspen Falls is fancied to have benefited greatly from her reappearance at Yarmouth a fortnight ago. The Elnadim filly has a number of options open to her and it will be very interesting to note if she heads to Pontefract on Friday evening if all goes to plan here.
