Verdict

EMBLEM EMPIRE failed to land the odds when second over track and trip on his handicap debut but still finished in front of a subsequent dual winner. The Gosdens’ unexposed colt looks worth another chance in this. Old Port counted Anythingtoday among his victims in notching-up a hat-trick though is upped in class today while Menai Bridge returned a beaten favourite on his reappearance and You're Hired is preferred on an earlier success in this grade at Chelmsford.
