    Verdict

Whitecrest won this a year ago, completing a hat-trick in the process. She hasn't won subsequently which is why she's on a 12lb lower mark so don't be surprised by a revival. Good Business won twice at Chelmsford at the beginning of the year but has yet to be placed in four runs on Turf. Mercers gained her first Turf victory at Brighton earlier this month but a 6lb rise makes this more difficult and it will be a surprise if she can prevent MOOROVERTHEBRIDGE (NAP) from completing a hat-trick. She won at Brighton on fast ground and carried a penalty when completing a double at Salisbury in similar conditions. That was an apprentices' race so there's no penalty for this and she can actually race off a lower mark than her last victory. The Lacemaker disappointed at Yarmouth after a couple of fine efforts on the all-weather, though that was in a slightly better handicap on soft ground.
