Chevallier arrives in fine form and should make a bold bid to repeat last year’s victory in this. He beat Captain Cat and Sea Fox here earlier this year but a line through the third-placed horse gives him something to find with the progressive GORING. The latter has now won three of only six starts on the all-weather and all came over course and distance. Eve Johnson-Houghton’s charge has already beaten Mutawathea and Mr Scaramanga while Pastime is usually thereabouts without winning at this level. Sea Fox scored over 7f last time but was behind Chevallier before that.
