In depth

Verdict

SINBAD THE SAILOR, Prince Charlemagne and Satwa Gold form the shortlist for this handicap and the vote is given to Sinbad The Sailor. The selection is owned by Sir Alex Ferguson and he is having only his fourth run on the all-weather today. He won well at Wolverhampton earlier in the month when he beat Sir Sandicliffe. He was returning from a break that day so he should strip fitter here and he is given a confident vote. Prince Charlemagne looks the main danger as he goes in search of his 11th success on the all-weather. He has been in good heart of late and he should be suited by the return to this longer trip so he is certainly respected. Satwa Gold looked to be suited by this longer trip at Kempton earlier in the month when he chased home Alsadaa. He has relatively few miles on the clock so he has to enter calculations. Morar has won a couple of races in France so he is another to consider on his British debut. Dani's Girl would have claims on her best form but she will need to bounce back from a shocking effort at Kempton last month. There are plenty in with chances but the vote is given to Sinbad The Sailor.
