Grand Passion has won this race twice in the last three years and has a solid chance of landing the hat trick today. Party Boss is an obvious threat, while Mighty and Cusoon also do their bit to make this an intriguing clash. Cusoon shot up the ratings after a series of good performances towards the back end of last year and comes here in good heart. However, this may be a test too far for him and, as he has a bit to find with Mighty, he may have to settle for a minor role. The last named has gone from strength to strength since joining Jane Chapple-Hyam and, as the new kid on the block, he should not be under estimated. Neither should Party Boss, who has proved his well being with a couple of smooth successes in handicaps of late. However, Grand Passion looks to have been brought along steadily with this race in mind and has everything in his favour this afternoon.
