Darver Star is the senior runner but has placed in Grade 1 company over hurdles and got his head back in front reverting to the smaller obstacles at Punchestown on New Year’s Eve. BREWIN’UPASTORM was challenging the winner when falling at the last in the Relkeel Hurdle at Cheltenham at the start of the month. Impressive at Aintree earlier, he won the Grade 2 National Spirit at Fontwell last season and looks the one to beat in this with this trip probably too far for the enigmatic Goshen.
