A good contest where a chance is taken on MY GACHO, while Carcinetto and Aeroplane are both likely to be bang there at the business end. It is possible to pick holes in all of these, and first to get mentions are Autumn Blades and Aeroplane, who have never won over any trip other than 7f, despite a number of attempts. The latter appears to be a couple of pounds well-in, but he struggles to win handicaps from this sort of mark and is taken on again. Benandonner¿s last success came in a 7f claimer at this track and he is 6lbs lower than his most recent turf win, so has to have claims on that basis, though he was comfortably beaten over 7f here last time from a similar mark. The Fahey stable has not had a winner for a little while now, tempering enthusiasm for Polytrack debutant Unbreak My Heart. Everymanforhimself is worth a try at the trip, with some stamina in the pedigree, though he has plenty to prove as he steps up from the sprint distances. Carcinetto proved he gets this far at the rather more testing Chepstow circuit, where he claimed his last win from a mark 2lbs higher than today's. Like the David Evans yard, he has been in good form lately despite not winning and he is much respected. Even so, we will side with My Gacho. Mark JohnsTon's recent runners have also been going well, and although this eight-year-old has had more success over 7f, he has also won over this trip. Recent efforts have been less-than-encouraging, but they were either when he was higher in the weights or on surfaces that would not have been ideal, and back here and 1lb lower than his last success, he can go in again.
