Verdict

There was little between the runner-up Celtic Art and Protected Guest over track and trip last month and the latter had finished in front of Pivoine and Deal A Dollar when third here before that. Pirate King won off today’s mark at this time last year though this is tougher while the front-running Living Legend failed to cope with a rise in the weights at Chelmsford last time. But stablemate MARCH LAW found only King Of The South, who went on to land a hat-trick, too good in this grade at Newcastle in November and gets the vote having been subsequently gelded.
