Saucepot, Rock Fever and Beverley Beau head the shortlist and we plump for Saucepot. Saucepot is a name that went into the notebook when she finished third in an Epsom claimer to Onlytime Will Tell. Although the trainer appears to have struggled to find a trip for her, all the evidence points to the fact that she stays six furlongs. Largely campaigned at Southwell in recent months, it is hoped that the Lingfield surface will be more to her liking. Beverley Beau has a few useful pieces of form in handicap company. He was not too far away at Wolverhampton so the step up to six is worth chancing. Rock Fever was a cheap cast-off from the Mark Wallace stable. Peter Grayson's runners are always worth a look at this grade and the market is dutifully inspected. Canary Dancer is dropped in trip following two modest runs over further. Tipsy Lillie completely lost her way over the course of the summer but Julian Poulton won with a similar type last week so the market is watched feverishly. Segoria struggled to get her head in front in Ireland but is another watched in the market as her trainer is not noted for too many flat runners. A tough race but one in which Saucepot represents obvious each-way value.
