In depth

Verdict

Voyage De Retour was still beaten 19 lengths when second to Sopran Thor over 2m4f here in October and the winner’s trainer runs GOLDEN BOY GREY in this. The top weight is having a first run since April but he loves the mud and could be a useful recruit to the chasing ranks. Fearless found only one too good on his fencing debut at Ayr but has become hard to place. Galop De Chasse is the most experienced of these but fellow French import Gingembre Menthe may have more scope.
