Some familiar faces are drawn together here and the likes of Sammy's Shuffle, Blue Streak and Kingsdon are all worthy of respect at this level. However, the fact that Johnny Murtagh stays for the last to ride the in-form Diamond Orchid is a tip in itself and the daughter of Victory Note gets the vote to round off the meeting on a high. The four-year-old had mixed fortunes during a light campaign over hurdles at the start of the year before making the most of a good opportunity when scoring under Kieren Fallon at Windsor last month. The fact that Murtagh has been booked for the ride for this evening's engagement suggests that connections think she still has a little more to offer and the hint should not be dismissed lightly. Kingsdon has always struggled in handicaps in the past and is not one to go overboard about despite an improved recent profile. Therefore, it could be left to old-stager Sammy's Shuffle to give Diamond Orchid with the most to do as he knows his way around here much better than any of the rest.
