Atephobia and Lord Deevert head the short-list but another chance is given to Dunmore Dodger. Richard Fahey's gelding shaped well over 5 furlongs at Wolverhampton on debut and was duly backed into favouritism in a maiden at Southwell on his second start. He swerved at the start and was beaten fully fifteen lengths but he's proven on polytrack, has shown ability and is worth risking in this grade. Atephobia was in receipt of 2lbs when failing by three quarters of a length to overhaul Lord Deevert over course and distance last time and there's little to choose between the pair again this afternoon. The market's worth a check as some lightly raced runners go to post, support for Orphan Boy would be of particular interest, but there aren't too many other obvious candidates and Dunmore Dodger is selected.
