Simple Exchange, Group Captain and Blue Bajan are just three in with a chance in a very competitive race, with the tentative vote going to recent winner Group Captain. Kew Green won this race last year after several disappointing efforts and has been in similar form this time round so it would not be the biggest surprise if Paul Webber's gelding went close, whilst Nayyir is a class act but will do well to give weight away to all of his rivals over a trip that he has never won at. Simple exchange has run well on both of his all-weather starts and travelling over from Ireland he would appear to be a live threat. Andrew Turnell's Blue Bajan ran very well in the Cambridgeshire last time out, and a winner of his only visit to the course, Richard Hills' mount looks a likely contender at a decent price. However, Group Captain was very impressive when winning at Windsor when last seen, and this course and distance winner deserves his first attempt in Listed company. Roger Charlton is doing well with his few winter runners and so Group Captain is the selection in a very competitive race.
